Holistic support for birth and end of life

I believe you are, and always have been, worthy of great care.

Mending attachment wounds through trauma therapy and Doula care. Striving for good births, good deaths and strong attachments in life.

HEY, I'M DR ELIZABETH L MILLWARD!

Attachment wounds often form at the moments we're most dependent: birth, death, diagnosis. As a doula, I walk alongside you through these thresholds, so you're held well when it matters most, and the wound never gets the chance to form.

If the wound has already happened, through how you were parented, or through a system that failed to attune to you, this is where healing happens. As a psychologist, I work with you directly on the trauma itself, using approaches built for the body as much as the mind.

If you're ready to experience support that is truly holistic, psychological, physical, spiritual and practical, then we might get along.

EXPLORE MY SERVICES

Birth Services

I support people through pregnancy, birth, and the postnatal period, as a doula in the room and a psychologist processing what happens there. This is especially for those who've been harmed or dismissed by maternity systems before, and want someone who can hold both the practical and the emotional at once.

Death Services

A wicker casket decorated with flowers and greenery, with small shoes on top, placed outdoors. Signs nearby with partially visible text, including "Love you bye" and a sign reading "DEEDS NOT WORDS."

I accompany people through dying, grief, and the systems that surround both; bedside presence alongside psychological support for what death brings up. For those facing a terminal diagnosis, supporting a dying loved one, or grieving a death that wasn't handled with care.

Behind The Brand

A young woman with long dark hair sitting on a wooden bench outdoors in a garden or park. She is wearing a dark t-shirt, shorts, and sneakers, smiling, with her hands resting on the bench. In the background, there are flowers and foliage, and the photo is in black and white.

I'm Liz: a psychologist and doula, and I built this practice because I kept seeing the same gap: people either got clinical insight without anyone in the room with them, or practical support without anywhere to put the psychological weight of what they'd been through. I hold both, so you don't have to choose.
